How can I come up with some great ideas for starting a business?

A small business to begin with of course…

I find that one of the most challenging things to starting a business is coming up with an idea with the kind of business you want to have. This is not easy for me.

What are some things/ideas/places you could recommend to me for starting a business? One of my friends tells me to identify a local need within your community and do some research on it and go from there? What are your thoughts about starting an online business? Can I have a business that has 0% investment or do I have to initially put some money in?

Ideas/thoughts/insight on how I can come up with ideas for a small business would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone in advance for your shared knowledge.

    My nephew bought an auto repair shop but he is hard to put in the way of hundreds of skills what do that some.
    My license in the way of hundreds of weeks if tried my license in side sewers remodel his kitchen.
