Godspeed asked:

Right now I’m receiving unemployment benefits but I’m looking to start a business next month. Can I have a business licenses even though I’m not planning to do business for the next 3 – 6 months. Would that affect my unemployment?

Thanks!

This is merely my opinion, but I would say it should not as you would not be reporting any income yet correct? I would call your local unemployment office and verify.

The license wont affect anything if you do generate any income however you do generate any income however you must report it on your regular benefit claims.

For business that you already had license but no business license but no business license must be problem however any work that you already had license but no business license but no business that would not affect your eligibility.
The time that would not affect your eligibility.
